Rules

The successful running of the club requires the support of parents at all times:

• Due to Child Protection rules, all video production equipment such as mobile phones, cameras and video cameras are strictly prohibited from the poolside and changing rooms.

• You must not enter the pool or remain by poolside without a teacher being present.

• Any child aged 7 or over is to change in their own gender changing room and any parent of the opposite sex is NOT allowed to enter that room. This is for the safety of the child and parent.

• Please ensure children use the toilet before lessons and if your child needs the toilet during the lesson they must let a teacher or helper know.

• Please ensure regular and punctual attendance by your child

• Young children should not be left unaccompanied during sessions.

• Parents/carers must remain seated on the benches provided at poolside or on the balcony. (Please do not approach the pool during the lesson)

• No outdoor shoes are permitted around the pool side or in the showers.

• For safety reasons no jewellery hair slides or combs are allowed in the pool, and long or shoulder length hair should be tied back.

• Boys should only wear speedo style swimming trunks. Girls should only wear full swimwear- not bikinis. Children will not be allowed to swim if specified swimwear isn’t worn.

• Goggles can only be worn once stage 4 has been achieved.

• Bad behaviour will not be tolerated.

• The school for hygiene reasons has requested that children shower beforeentering the pool.

• Under no circumstances are hot drinks in flasks/cups allowed in changing rooms or on poolside.

• Please keep us updated with any personal changes such as contact information, this is essential for emergencies.
